Super Hydro Breeze
Super Hydro Breeze is a non-porous polyurethane treated 3-layer laminated fablic. Super Hydro Breeze has a 20,000 mm waterproofness rating, and a 15,000g/m2/24hours breathability rating, a 25% improvement over our previous version. Dry Light TecDry Light Tec is a 2.5-layer micro-porous, highly waterproof, highly breathable polyurethane coating with a textured inner surface. The textured inner treatment provides a measure of durability and abrasion resistance while offering a drier feel against the skin.
Dry Light Tec fabrics are durable and do not lose their water-resistant performance even after heavy use. (To demonstrate this in our laboratory, we rubbed the fabric's coated surface with a 200g weight for 100 minutes and measured no decline in water resistance.) Dry Light Tec fabrics offer a breathability rating of 12,000 g/m²/24h. And they have high water-resistant performance of more than 20,000 mm/cm² initially (guaranteed) and 10,000 mm/cm² after 20 washings (guaranteed). Dry TecDeveloped by MontBell, DRYTEC is a 2-ply waterproof-breathable fabric that's very soft and comfortable. We begin by laminating fabric to a microporous membrane that is only 25 microns thick. The micropores of this super-thin membrane make the fabric impervious to liquid water but still allow water vapor molecules to pass through. We continue the lamination process by applying a layer of polyurethane coating; then finish it off with a hydrophilic coating designed to wick moisture away from your skin. The polyurethane/hydrophilic coating makes up the second layer of 2-ply DRYTEC. DRYTEC fabrics offer a breathability rating of 10,000 g/m2/24h. And they have high water-resistant performance of more than 25,000 mm/square cm initially. This performance does not change after 20 washings. WINDSTOPPERWINDSTOPPER® fabrics provides lightweight warmth by combining total windproofness, maximum breathability and water resistance. Protects your body's warmth from the chilling effects of wind and weather. Prevents overheating and perspiration build-up by allowing moisture vapor to easily escape. It provides comfort under any harsh environment. Ballistic Airlight nylonMade from 15-denier Ballistic nylon, Ballistic Airlight nylon is an ultra light and ultra thin fabric. Because of its tight, durable weave, Ballistic Airlight has high wind resistance performance and it feels silky soft. BallisticBallistic nylon is one and a half times more abrasion resistant than other similar weight fabrics and boasts three times the tear strength of nylons that are almost 20% heavier. Because of this, Ballistic has allowed us to reduce the weight of many of our products by more than 50% without sacrificing the durability. We create Ballistic by heating and stretching nylon fibers. Much like Tensiled steel, this process aligns the nylon molecules in each fiber, dramatically improving the strength and stamina of the fabric. Stretch BallisticShell material with twill weave by blending 50 Denier of Ballistic Nylon with Polyurethane. This material realized contradictory function of wind-proof and ventilation simultaneously. Besides, due to excellent stretchability, it can follow the movement smoothly. This material fits best for activities with violent movement. PolkatexDid you know that every time you wash a water-repellant fabric, you are reducing its effectiveness? Or that the natural oils from your skin and hair can also wreak havoc on your water-repellent apparel? That's why MontBell has taken water-repellent technology a step further with Polkatex, its permanent water-repellent fabric. Unlike other water-repellent fabrics, Polkatex will retain its ability to keep you dry wear after wear, wash after wash. Here's how it works: Polkatex is treated with a water-based fluorine finish that adheres to the fibers of the fabric, providing excellent water resistance. Polkatex also contains a cushioning agent that "fills in" the molecular bonds, giving them a unique elasticity. This elasticity allows the bonds to rebound from the excess wear and tear that can result from harsh detergents and oils. Water-repellent and abrasion resistant, Polkatex lasts. ExceloftWhen you choose a sleeping bag, the insulation is just as important as the design. MontBell uses our own Exceloft synthetic insulation in sleeping bags to help trap warm air and retain loft. Not only is Exceloft great at keeping you warm, but the combination of 8-denier compacted polyester tubing with extra-thin, 0.7-denier polyester thread makes the insulation remarkably compressible. In addition, Exceloft absorbs very little water, making it highly resistant to saturation and extremely quick to dry. Chameece
Chameece fleece is knitted using very thin (less than 1 denier), micropolyester yarns. Like its namesake, the soft leather from the chamois antelope, tightly woven Chameece fleece has a napped surface for luxurious softness. Weighing only 5.4 ounces per square yard, Chameece is very light. In addition, products made from Chameece are quick drying, wind blocking, warm and durable. |
